About Emma

Designer. Dreamer. Optimist.

I grew up on a farm, originally studied floristry and now work as a Design & Technology teacher alongside building Emma Dale Jewellery.

I’ve always loved making, experimenting with materials and turning ideas into something real. I love combining traditional hands-on techniques with modern processes such as laser cutting, and many of my patterns begin as little hand-drawn doodles before being developed into finished pieces.

That mix of craftsmanship, technology, colour and creativity is at the heart of everything I make. I enjoy playing with unexpected combinations of materials, shapes and patterns to create jewellery that feels individual and a little different.

I’m the designer and maker behind Emma Dale Jewellery, creating bold, colourful contemporary jewellery in small batches, with each piece designed and finished by hand in East Yorkshire.

Emma Dale Jewellery is still a young business, and I'm building it alongside my teaching career — one collection, stockist and workshop at a time.

My jewellery is made in small batches rather than mass produced, with pieces individually designed and finished by hand. You'll now find Emma Dale pieces appearing in independent shops and galleries, alongside my growing programme of creative jewellery workshops.

And although it says Emma Dale on the label, there's a little team behind it too.

My husband is my biggest supporter — helping with workshops, setting up, packing away and generally getting roped into whatever mad idea I've had that week.

And my daughters are part of it too — from helping choose colour combinations to giving their very definite opinions on new designs!
